목장 개편과 전도

지난 봄부터 준비해온 영불어권 사역에 따른 목장 개편이 거의 끝났습니다. 학생부는 4 개 목장에 목자 5 명이 세워졌고 (1 개 목장은 2 명의 목자가 공동으로 사역) 영어만 쓰는 목장도 있습니다. 앞으로 한국말을 모르는 외국 학생들이 더 많이 오면 영어 목장이 더 생길 것입니다.

청장년 목장은 기존에 10 개가 있었는데, 모두 한어권 목장이었습니다. 이번에 11 개가 되었는데, 차드 목장이 영어권이 되었고, 청년들이 모였던 캄보디아 목장이 YA 목장으로 이름을 바꾸면서 영어권이 되었습니다. 요약하면, 한어권 목장 9 개와 영어권 목장 2 개입니다. YA 목장은 앞으로 분가를 할 수도 있습니다.

전체적으로 보면, 청장년 예배 출석 인원이 비슷한 것 같은데, 목장 숫자는 늘었습니다. 즉, 목장당 평균 인원이 준 것입니다. YA 목장 인원이 많은 편이고, 학생부 사역을 위해 이름만 소속된 목원들도 있기 때문에, 목장 평균 인원은 더 줄었습니다.

목장 입장에서는 힘이 빠질 수도 있지만 저는 이것을 기회로 보고 있습니다. 먼저 목자님들이 더 많이 세워진 것입니다. 가정교회는 교회에 인원이 많아져도 목자할 분이 없으면 힘들어집니다. 그런데 전체적으로 인원은 비슷해도 목자가 더 많아졌기 때문에 좋은 현상입니다.

또 평균 목장 인원이 적어졌다는 것은 우리가 VIP를 전도할 여력이 생겼다는 것입니다. 원래 목장은 6-12 명으로 구성되는 것이 정상입니다. 그런데 우리 교회는 평균적으로 자녀 숫자도 많고 거주하는 집이 좁습니다. 그래서 3-4 가정만 되어도 모임이 부담이 되고, 따라서 VIP를 초청할 여력이 없습니다.

이제 목자 포함해서 목장 식구가 2 가정 (혹은 2 명)인 목장이 몇 개 있습니다. 그런 목장은 이제 마음 놓고(^^) VIP를 목장에 초대할 수 있습니다 (이미 VIP를 초대하고 있는 목장들도 있습니다).

한편으로는, 적극적으로 VIP를 만들고 목장에 초청하지 않으면 목장이 곧 어려워집니다. 사정상 한 가정만 목장에 참석하지 못하면 목장 모임을 할 수 없게 됩니다. 한 가정만 교회를 떠나면 목자 가정만 남게 됩니다. 목장의 존속을 위해서라고 전도를 해야 합니다.

이미 몇 번에 걸쳐서 ‘전도의 삶’을 강의했습니다. 목자님들은 거의 ‘전도의 삶’을 1 번 이상 들었습니다. 즉, 전도하는 법을 몰라서 전도를 못하는 것이 아닙니다. 그동안 목장 식구들이 너무 많아서 전도할 여력이 없었던 목장은, 전도할 좋은 기회가 왔습니다.

MokJang reorganization and Witnessing

The reorganization of the MokJang is almost complete. The Youth have 5 shepherds on 4 MokJangs (1 MokJang has 2 shepherds working jointly) and there is also an English MokJang. If more foreign students come, there will be more English MokJangs.

There were 10 MokJangs in the past, all Korean-speaking. This time, there are 11 of them, and the Chad MokJang became English-speaking, and the Cambodian MokJang where the young people gathered was renamed YA MokJang. In summary, there are 9 Korean-speaking MokJangs and 2 English-speaking MokJangs. YA MokJang may have a division in the future.

Overall, the adult attendance at worship services is about the same, but the number of MokJangs has increased. That means that the average number per MokJang has decreased. Since YA MokJang has large and some members for Youth ministry are only in name, the average number per MokJang has decreased even more.

It can be a bad sign for the MokJang, but I see it as an opportunity. First of all, more shepherds were raised. Even if the number of people in house churches increases, it becomes more difficult if there is not enough MokJa. It is a good phenomenon because there are more shepherds even though the number of people is similar overall.

Also, the fact that the average number of people per MokJang has decreased means that we can afford to evangelize VIPs. It is normal for a MokJang to consist of 6-12 people. However, our church has a large number of children on average and homes are small. So, even if there are only 3-4 families, the gathering becomes a burden, so we can't afford to invite VIPs.

Now there are a few MokJanges with 2 families (or 2 people), including MokJa. Such MokJanges are now free up(^^) to invite VIPs to their MokJangs (some MokJang already have VIPs).

Please remember that, if you don't actively make VIPs and invite them to the MokJang, the MokJang will soon suffer. If only one family is unable to attend the MokJang due to circumstances, the MokJang meeting will not be possible. If only one family leaves the church, only the shepherd's family will remain. We must witness for the survival of the MokJang.

I have already taught several times the "Evangelism Life." Mokjas have taken the 'Evangelism Life' more than 1 time. In other words, it is not that they cannot witness because they do not know how to witness. In the past, the MokJang had too many members to be able to witness, but now a good opportunity came to witness.
