가정교회가 소중한 이유는 성경적 교회가 어떤 모습이어야 하는지를 단순히 말로 배우는 것이 아니라, 실제 삶 속에서 연습할 수 있도록 돕기 때문이라고 생각됩니다. 가정교회 4 가지 정신 중의 하나인 ‘사역분담’ 은 교회의 머리이신 예수님 아래 모든 성도가 지체로 함께 교회를 세우는 신약교회 정신의 회복을 목표로 합니다. 그래서 우리는 “1인 1사역”, 즉 목장에서 1사역, 교회에서 1사역을 지향합니다. 

오늘 우리는 사역박람회를 일주일 앞두고, 교회 안에 어떤 사역들이 있는지 목장 연합 교회 사역 선택지를 받았습니다. 혹시 “나는 1년만 머무르는데… 사역을 해서 뭐하나?”라는 생각이 드시는 분이 있다면, 그렇게 생각하지 않으셨으면 합니다. 6개월이라도 함께 동역할 수 있다면 그것이 하나님 앞에서는 귀한 사역입니다.

유스와 청년들도 이번 기회에 기도하며 사역에 참여해 보기를 권합니다. 예를 들면 영상 제작에 관심이 있다면 미디어팀에서 섬길 수 있고, 주일학교에는 영어와 불어를 사용할 수 있는 교사가 필요합니다. 

이와 관련해 북미가사원 원장이신 김인기 목사님은 “어떤 사역을 선택해야 하는가?”에 대해 두 가지 매우 실질적인 기준을 제시하셨습니다.

첫째, 마음에 부담이 느껴지는 사역을 선택하십시오. “이건 왜 늘 비어 있을까?”, “이 부분은 왜 아무도 안 할까?”라는 생각이 들면, 그것이 하나님께서 내 마음을 두드리시는 사역일 수 있습니다.

둘째, 3년 동안 배우고 싶은 사역을 선택하십시오. 지금은 서툴러도 괜찮습니다. 3년간 배우고 반복하면 누구나 그 분야에서 하나님의 일꾼이 될 수 있습니다

이 한 주간 기도하면서 “하나님께서 나를 어디에 부르실까?”를 묻는 시간을 가지면 좋겠습니다. 그리고 다음주 12월 7일에 카페테리아서 진행되는 사역박람회에서 각 사역의 부서장님들이 직접 사역을 소개합니다. 궁금한 점은 편하게 질문하고 안내를 받으시기 바랍니다. 

그리고 꼭 기억해야 할 것이 있습니다. 사역에는 눈에 잘 보이는 사역도 있고, 아무도 모르게 감당하는 보이지 않는 사역도 있습니다. 그러나 어느 것이 더 중요하다고 말할 수는 없습니다. 모두가 중요합니다. 모든 사역은 하나님 나라를 세우는 귀한 헌신입니다.

이번 사역박람회가 우리 모두가 목장 연합교회의 사역에 함께 동참하여 교회를 세워가는 은혜의 시간이 되기를 소망합니다. 

Ministry Expo – 1 Person, 1 Ministry

I believe the reason House Church is precious is that it does not stop at simply teaching in words what a biblical church should look like, but helps us practice it in our actual lives. One of the four spirits of House Church, "Ministry Distribution," aims to restore the spirit of the New Testament church where all saints become members of the body and build the church together under Jesus, the head of the church. Therefore, we aim for "1 Person, 1 Ministry," meaning serving one role in the Mokjang (House Church) and one role in the church.

Today, with the Ministry Expo just one week away, we have received a selection sheet of ministries within the church (Mokjang Federated Church). If there is anyone thinking, "I’m only staying for one year... what is the point of serving?" I hope you will not think that way. Even if it is just for six months, if you can serve as a co-worker, that is a precious ministry before God

I also encourage the Youth and Young Adults to pray and participate in ministry on this occasion. For example, if you are interested in video production, you can serve in the Media Team, and the Sunday School needs teachers who can speak English and French.

In relation to this, Pastor Kim In-ki, the director of House Church Ministries of North America, presented two very practical criteria for "Which ministry should I choose?"

First, choose a ministry that feels like a 'burden' on your heart. If you find yourself thinking, "Why is this spot always empty?" or "Why is no one doing this part?", that may be the ministry where God is knocking on your heart.

Second, choose a ministry you want to learn for 3 years. It is okay to be clumsy right now. If you learn and repeat the work for three years, anyone can become God’s worker in that field.

I hope you will spend this week praying and asking, "Where is God calling me?" Also, at the Ministry Expo held in the cafeteria next week, December 7th, the department heads of each ministry will introduce their ministries in person. Please feel free to ask questions and receive guidance.

And there is one thing you must remember. In ministry, there are visible roles, and there are invisible roles carried out without anyone knowing. However, we cannot say one is more important than the other. Everyone is important. All ministries are precious dedications that build God’s Kingdom.

I hope this Ministry Expo becomes a time of grace for all of us to join in the ministry of the church and build it up together.
