2025년에 교회적으로 몇가지 큰 변화가 있었습니다. 먼저 장흥신 목사님이 교회 사역을 많이 맡으며 담임목사로 섬길 준비를 했습니다. 가정교회는 일반 교회와 많이 달라서, 후임 목사님이 동사목사로서 비교적 오랫동안 담임목회를 준비하는데, 잘 준비하신 것 같습니다.

학생부는 두번째로 NewGen Conference에 참석하여 영적으로 많이 성장하고 안정이 되었습니다. 목자님들이 졸업하고 새로운 목자님들이 잘 세워졌습니다. 목장 모임에 VIP를 초대하고 그들이 예배에도 참석하는 바람직한 현상이 일어나고 있습니다.

영어권 청년은 우리 교회에 다니고 있는 청년들보다 VIP들이 더 많이 목장모임에 참석해서 엄청 힘들었습니다. 가을에 몇 명이 학생부에서 올라와서 믿는 사람들이 많아졌고 VIP들도 정리(?)가 되어서 어느 정도 목장모임이 자리를 잡았습니다. 목장에 참석하는 VIP들이 주일예배에 참석하기 시작했습니다.

한어권 청장년은 무엇보다 예수님을 영접한 분들이 많았습니다. 특히, 주일학교나 학생부에 참석한 자녀를 둔 부모님들이 목장모임에 나오고, 그후 예수님을 영접하는 놀라운 일들이 있었습니다. 이런 예는 잘하는 다른 가정교회에서도 찾아보기 힘든 일입니다.

지난 성탄주일 예배 때 많은 VIP분들이 참석했습니다.  우리 교회 역사상 가장 많은 VIP들이 참석한 것 같습니다. 예배 순서와 친교도 너무 좋았습니다. 우리 교회가 알아서 섬기는 차원이 된 것 같아서 기쁩니다.

이제 2026년을 준비할 때입니다. 먼저 새해 첫 주간을 세겹줄 금식기도회로 드립니다. 각 목장별로 조를 짜서 신청서에 신청하시기 바랍니다. 쥼으로 하고, 새벽 5시 반에 시작합니다. 저녁 금식을 하고 서로를 위해 기도합니다.

1월 12일 주에 삶공부를 시작합니다. 장목사님이 생명의 삶과 새로운 삶을 인도합니다. 생명의 삶(12주)은 화요일 저녁 7시 반에, 새로운 삶(12주)은 목요일 저녁 7시 반에 시작합니다.

저는 1월 17일(토) 오후 2시에 전도의 삶 (5주)을, 그후 2/21-4/11까지 8주 동안 주니어 생명의 삶을 한영으로 인도합니다. 안내석에 신청서가 있습니다. 1월 11일 주일까지 신청하시기 바랍니다.

In 2025 there were several significant changes in our church this year. First, Pastor Jang has taken on many ministry responsibilities to prepare to serve as senior pastor. Because the house church is quite different from a traditional church, a successor pastor usually prepares for senior pastoral ministry over a relatively long period. Pastor Jang seems to be preparing very well.

For the student ministry, they attended the NewGen Conference second time and experienced much spiritual growth and stability. As shepherds graduated, new shepherds were well established. A healthy pattern has emerged in which VIPs are invited to MokJang meetings and then begin attending worship services as well.

The EYAM had more VIPs attending small group meetings than regular church members, which made things extremely challenging. In the fall, several believers moved up from the student ministry, increasing the number of committed Christians, and the VIP situation was also “sorted out,” allowing the small groups to become more stable. VIPs who attend small groups have now begun attending Sunday worship services.

The Korean-speaking adults ministry  had many people accepted Jesus Christ. In particular, parents whose children attend Sunday School or the student ministry began attending small groups, and afterward accepted Jesus. This is something rarely seen even in other well-functioning house churches.

During this past Christmas Sunday service, many VIPs attended. It seems that this may have been the largest number of VIPs to attend in our church’s history. The order of worship and the fellowship afterward were excellent. It brought me great joy to see that our church has reached a level where serving others happens naturally.

Now it is time to prepare for 2026. First, we will begin the new year with a “Three-Cord” fasting prayer meeting during the first week of the year. Please sign up by forming groups within your MokJang and submitting the application. The prayer meeting will be held on Zoom and will begin at 5:30 a.m. We will fast in the evening and pray for one another.

Life Study classes will begin during the week of January 12. Pastor Jang will lead Living Life and New Life. Living Life (12 weeks) will meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and New Life (12 weeks) will meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

I will be leading Evangelism Life (5 weeks) on Saturday, January 17, at 2:00 p.m. After that, from February 21 to April 11, I will lead Junior Living Life for eight weeks in both Korean and English. Registration forms are available at the information desk. Please sign up by the week of January 11.
